Senior Embedded Developer (Rust) (Automotive)

ABOUT THE PROJECT

For a German automotive manufacturer, we develop an IoT platform that allows B2B customers to control and manage e-Vehicles charging, driver behavior, delivery service, and many other parameters. The platform also includes a Device Management backend for accessing and controlling devices and an Administrative / Customer part for managing devices from an administration perspective. All this is based on ECU installed in a vehicle, with various communication physical interfaces that make it a versatile communication device with access to vehicle data. On Klika Tech's side, we help our customer to formulate their ideas, and then we fully implement them in real-life scenarios. With a high level of trust from the client side, we can ensure the delivery of customizable software to meet extraordinary market demand. YOUR ROLE

• Designing and evolving the overall architecture of the existing and new solutions;
• Developing, maintaining, and improving features;
• Investigating, debugging, and resolving software defects;
• Following clean code principles to write concise code;
• Designing, developing, and executing unit and integration tests;
• Setting up and maintaining GitHub Actions-based CI build pipelines;
• Writing and maintaining technical documentation;
• Cooperating with the development team and client representatives;
• Converting business requirements into technical requirements;
• Decomposing and estimating required functionality;
• Proactively supporting other team members and helping them to be successful;
• Performing effective code review;
• Participating in debug sessions;
• Taking part in Agile ceremonies (dailies, planning etc).

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience working in the Embedded development;
• Expertise in Rust, Golang, bash scripts;
• Development experience under Linux systems (User Space);
• Knowledge of automotive protocols (at least CAN);
• Experience with gRPC or Protobuf;
• Experience working with Git and CI Actions in Github; 
• B2+ level of English.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience working with Cloud-based logs analysis (e.g. ELK);
• Expertise in C, C++ / Python;
• Experience and knowledge of an automotive domain specifics;
• Experience working with PCB Schematics;
• Knowledge of low-level interface programming.
