ABOUT THE PROJECT
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team on an innovative IoT project. The role involves developing and implementing a platform tailored for real-time monitoring and management of industrial equipment, especially HVAC systems. Responsibilities will encompass software integration for industrial gateways, on-board devices, and overseeing a cloud infrastructure for IoT connectivity and firmware upgrades. Experience in IoT solutions and industrial equipment management is a plus.
YOUR ROLE
- Lead the design and integration of embedded systems;
- Evolve the overall architecture of the existing solution;
- Develop and maintain existing application, kernel, drivers;
- Implement user-space interactions with devices via I2C, UART;
- Extend Yocto/Ubuntu Core with external packages/recipes;
- Cross-compile code for different platforms;
- Create tests and emulators to validate software implementation;
- Design, develop and execute unit and integration tests;
- Debug and troubleshoot defects, resolve hardware and software issues locally and remotely;
- Set up and maintain CircleCI Actions-based CI build pipelines;
- Follow clean code principles to write concise code;
- Conduct code reviews and tasks evaluation to ensure compliance with project and company best practices;
- Write and maintain technical documentation;
- Cooperate with client representatives;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, specifications and estimations;
- Proactively support team members and help team fostering a culture of continuous improvement;
- Constantly improve professional skills;
- Take part in Agile ceremonies.
REQUIREMENTS
- B2 level of English;
- 6+ years of extensive working experience with Linux;
- Deep knowledge of the [operating system / schedulers (low-level implementation of the scheduling functions) and IPC / multi-threading;
- Experience and [deep] knowledge of Go, C/C++;
- Practical C++, Python, Go programming experience;
- Proficiency at embedded design and architectural patterns;
- Experienced at practical experience with build tools Make, CMake, gcc;
- Experience with embedded debugging, logging and monitoring techniques;
- Knowledge of Git branching models and strategies.
NICE TO HAVE
- Proficiency as Linux user;
- Experience with Ubuntu Core, Snapcraft;
- Knowledge of protocols: MQTT, protobuf;
- Hardware interface / driver development experience (peripherals and DMA based);
- Experience with Node-RED
- Knowledge of Node.js;
- Knowledge of embedded security algorithms and protocols;
- Experience with IoT systems and AWS IoT Core particularly;
- Experience in Building Automation/Health and Sustainability;
- Ability to read PCB Schematics;
- Knowledge of low-level interface programming;
- Experience in CI/CD practices.
