ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project centers on a powered-sports connected-vehicle platform that links embedded firmware, wireless communication, and cloud services to enable telemetry, diagnostics, remote functions, and app interaction. Embedded modules handle Bluetooth messaging, CAN data exchange, secure command execution, and periodic reporting as the foundation of the connectivity stack.
A key focus is compliance: maintaining code provenance, validating third-party components, removing deprecated dependencies, hardening security around data and command flows, and preparing technical evidence needed for regulatory assessments and future Declarations of Conformity.
The work also involves porting the platform to a new IoT backend, updating communication schemas, authentication flows, provisioning logic, and aligning firmware behavior with the new cloud APIs while ensuring backward compatibility of the existing vehicle fleet during the transition.
