EMPLOYEE CONTRACTOR (B2B)

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The project centers on a powered-sports connected-vehicle platform that links embedded firmware, wireless communication, and cloud services to enable telemetry, diagnostics, remote functions, and app interaction. The focus is porting the platform to a new IoT backend, adding support for updating communication schemas, authentication flows, provisioning logic, and aligning firmware behavior with the new cloud APIs while ensuring backward compatibility of the existing vehicle fleet during the transition.

YOUR ROLE

IoT & Backend Migration;
Work together with the existing team to add support for a AWS-based IoT Device Backend to the existing User-facing cloud solution already communicating with Alibaba-based IoT backend. The existing solution is AWS based;
Work together with Android / embedded systems developers to facilitate the overall migration process.

REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of experience working with Java;
Strong experience with AWS in production environments;
Hands-on experience with AWS IoT Core or similar IoT platforms;
Solid experience with Spring Boot;
Good knowledge of MySQL;
Experience designing or at least working with event-driven, distributed systems;
Strong understanding of REST APIs and cloud messaging patterns.

NICE TO HAVE

Working with microservices, or at least in service oriented environments;
Experience with messaging flows, JMS, SQS, any queues;
Experience with Alibaba Cloud IoT, IoT Platform, or OTA services;
Automotive, embedded, or connected-vehicle domain experience;
Familiarity with TBOX, MMI, or vehicle CAN-related data flows (conceptual level);
Experience working with globally distributed teams and multi-vendor environments;
Exposure to regulatory or compliance-driven software projects;
Experience with OTA systems or large-scale device update mechanisms.
