Senior NodeJS Developer (HVAC)

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Within this project, we are responsible for delivering an IoT solution for a thermostat with an air purifying possibility to one of our clients. This smart product is energy efficient and has a quiet module for a thermostat, which allows adjusting temperature and air humidity in the indoor space to ensure a lack of temperature swings will also go along with energy savings. Klika Tech is responsible for the software part of this solution, and we are using substantial AWS resources to reach our goal of building an advanced climate control unit. YOUR ROLE

• Develop, maintain and improve features for an existing solution;
• Investigate, debug and resolve software defects;
• Follow clean code principles to write concise code;
• Design, develop and execute unit tests;
• Write and maintain technical documentation;
• Cooperate with development team;
• Decompose and estimate required functionality;
• Taking part in Agile ceremonies (dailies, planning etc).

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience working with NodeJS;
• Experience with typescript, understanding utility types;
• Knowledge of OOP paradigms;
• Experience with design patterns;
• Notion of architectural patterns;
• Knowledge of commonly used data structures and algorithms;
• Experience with NestJS, MongoDB, Redis;
• Experience with AWS services Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis, API Gateway, CloudFront, CloudWatch, EC2;
• Experience with IaC AWS CDK;
• Experience with build tools esbuild, webpack;
• Knowledge of commonly used API documentation tools;
• Experience with logging and monitoring techniques;
• Knowledge of Git branching models and strategies;
• Experience with authentication and authorization methods;
• B1+ level of English.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm;
• Experience with ArgoCD, CircleCI;
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki;
• Experience with IaC Serverless;
• Experience with AWS services RDS, SQS, SNS, Kinesis Data Firehose, IoT Core, EKS, ECS, SSM, CodeArtifact, Athena;
• Some experience with IoT or data streaming systems.
