ABOUT THE PROJECT
We are acting as a strategic R&D extension for a top-tier global semiconductor company, tasked with building a world-class, production-ready software ecosystem and SDK for an unreleased, next-generation multi-core wireless System-on-Chip (SoC). In this role, you will act as the on-the-ground technical commander for the entire product development lifecycle. Partnering directly with our overarching Integration Product Lead, you will serve as the primary technical anchor for the engineering effort, overseeing specialized streams including SDK core, connectivity, hardware-enforced security, developer tooling, and DevOps. This is a “hands-on” architectural role. At the same time, you will maintain a helicopter view of the ecosystem’s roadmap, and you must retain sharp coding skills to prototype solutions, perform deep code reviews, and debug multi-core integration issues. As our internal capabilities expand, this role is uniquely positioned for significant career growth, serving as a foundational stepping stone toward architecting broader, high-stakes IoT ecosystem integrations across our expanding company portfolio.
YOUR ROLE
- Acting as the day-to-day Technical Delivery Lead, translating high-level architectural blueprints (IPC protocols, memory partitioning, RF scheduling) into actionable engineering execution across multiple cross-functional engineering squads.
- Conducting rigorous cross-stream synchronization to ensure that security configurations, RTOS drivers, and RF coexistence logic perfectly align before merging into the mainline codebase.
- Maintaining hands-on coding and debugging capabilities to assist teams in resolving complex, low-level integration challenges on pre-production silicon (e.g., race conditions, memory leaks, RTOS fault handling).
- Collaborating closely with silicon hardware architects and the Principal Solution Architect to navigate hardware volatility, validate RTL/FPGA targets, and design robust software workarounds for silicon errata.
- Driving the implementation of hardware-enforced security boundaries (e.g., Secure Enclaves, memory partitioning) to ensure the platform meets stringent industry certifications from day one.
- Championing the “Developer Journey,” ensuring that the APIs, modern build systems, and IDE tools provide a seamless, world-class out-of-the-box experience.
- Serving as a foundational leader with the potential to expand your scope into architecting large-scale, multi-protocol integrations and complex wireless ecosystems across our broader project portfolio.
REQUIREMENTS
- 8+ years of experience in Embedded Systems Engineering, with at least 2+ years in a Solution Architect, Technical Lead, or Engineering Lead role.
- Strong capability to maintain a strategic “helicopter view” of a complex product while remaining hands-on with C programming for constrained, bare-metal, and RTOS environments.
- Deep understanding of multi-core microcontroller architectures, Inter-Processor Communication (IPC), and shared memory paradigms.
- Solid grasp of wireless protocol coexistence, RF resource scheduling, and IoT connectivity (e.g., Sub-GHz, BLE, 802.15.4).
- Experience with modern embedded build systems, continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines, and automated Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing frameworks.
- Exceptional technical leadership and communication skills, capable of bridging the gap between high-level product strategy and low-level engineering execution across multiple parallel workstreams.
- High tolerance for ambiguity and hardware volatility, with readiness to work with emulators and early engineering samples.
- Strong presentation and technical communication skills.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptive to a changing environment.
- B2+ level of English.
NICE TO HAVE
- Prior direct experience porting or natively integrating complex wireless protocol stacks (e.g., LPWAN, mesh networks).
- Background working closely with semiconductor vendors on pre-release silicon or SDK development.
- Familiarity with hardware-enforced security architectures and secure bootloader implementations.
- Familiarity with developer tooling, UX, or modern IDE extension development.
- Previous experience contributing to major open-source RTOS projects.
